Myriam Leblanc
Myriam is a First Prize winner and People's Choice Award winner at the Orchestre Symphonique de Trois-Rivières Competition, a Jeune Ambassadrice Lyrique in 2014 (winning the Quebec-Bavaria Award), people's choice at the Canadian Opera company competition, 3rd prize at the "New Discoveries" contest, first prize at the Baroque International Festival of Lamèque and also grant holder of the Excellence grant given annually by L'Atelier lyrique de l'Opéra de Montréal.
She is recognized by the purity of her tone, a flexible and warm voice and a great control in terms of mastering both the technical and expressiveness of her art. In 2015, she sang the title role in Roméo et Juliette(Jeunesses Musicales Canada) and was a soloist in several Atelier lyrique de l'Opéra de Montréal concerts. She made her debut at the Opéra de Montréal singing the role of the High Priestess in Verdi's Aïda as Caroline Rodgers from La Presse describes «a voice of a rare beauty.» In 2017, she sings the role of Micaëla in Bizet's Carmen with L'Orchestre Symphonique de Longueuil and Donna Anna in Mozart's Don Giovanniwith Saskatoon Opera. Recently (2017-2018 Season), she performed the roles of Milica in Sokolovic's Svadba with Montreal Opera, Micaela in Bizet's Carmen with Quebec Opera, and concerts with conductors like Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Kent Nagano and Matthias Maute.
